Giga Shane is a New York based Director, Cinematographer, Editor, and Designer.  During his time in the big apple, Giga has had the pleasure of working for such organizations as NBCUniversal, Sony, Vimeo, NYFW, AMC Networks, BBC, Mother, Cablevision, MTV, Elle, Refinery 29, College Humor, and many others large and small.

Giga has been making movies since he was eight years old, when he produced his first film, a remake of “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle”, starring himself, a stuffed dog, and a container of low-fat cottage cheese. He’s come a long way since then, but his core beliefs have changed little: Anyone, Anything, Anytime, Anywhere, can make for compelling, stylized moments.

***WATCH FULL SCREEN*** Song and Review is a series of jazz guitar performances split into fourteen second segments inspired by the creative potential of the Instagram story format. Instagram stories were short enough, I felt, to engage with on a daily basis and do something extra. This is the compilation of consecutive Instagram stories 60-100, which were inspired by hand-drawn animation techniques and classic publishing layouts I have always loved. This series follows up and develops possibilities introduced by the studio look of a white backdrop and tuxedo wardrobe. The third and concluding video in the first series of three Song and Review films, installment #3 succeeds in enabling 100 consecutive instagram videos to have been created and compiled daily. The main lesson learned from the exercise of the first consecutive 100 videos is this: despite all internal concerns to the contrary, creative possibilities in design, film, and animation are indeed boundless, and ultimately a matter of willpower to execute rather than a matter of divine inspiration. Sit. Focus. Do.

Hunger can be a deceptive ocelot. One moment it flares it's nostrils into large flowering shapes, the next it is playing bananagrams like a docile ferret. The only thing for sure about hunger is that it is here to stay, held at bay by a thin orange line of carbohydrates and occasionally a thin green line of asparagus. That is, until something, shall we say, tastier, occurs on the horizon. Like a northern light of flavor, meat rears it's delicious head onto the hamburger roll, but we are forced to ask, what is this soylent green? Dave Garlitz answers these questions and more in his new international hit single "I Wanna Eat You Up".
